How can we help?
Git Notebook lets you read, edit, and sync a GitHub Markdown notebook from iPhone and iPad.
Email chiyahoho@gmail.com with your iOS or iPadOS version, device model, Git Notebook version, what you did immediately before the issue, and any relevant details from the in-app Sync Log.
Never send a GitHub token, private repository URL, private note content, or password. The developer will never ask for your complete token.
Send an emailFrequently asked questions
Which GitHub permissions are required?
Create a fine-grained Personal Access Token for only the repository you plan to connect, with Contents set to Read and write. Issues, Pull requests, Actions, and Administration permissions are not required.
Where is my token stored?
Each notebook's token is stored in the iOS Keychain. It is never written to note files, logs, the remote URL, or Git configuration.
Does removing a local notebook delete anything on GitHub?
No. Removal deletes only the working tree on this device, recent-file records, and its Keychain token. Recoverable drafts that have not been written back are first archived in Conflict Files.
Which remote repositories are supported?
The current version supports HTTPS repositories on github.com. SSH, GitHub Enterprise, Git LFS, and submodules are not currently supported.
How do I restore Pro?
Open Settings › Git Notebook Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the original purchase.
Privacy
